![]() ![]() I guess I just wriggle too much I missed the convenience of being able to get up, do something, then just flop down in the chair again. I have one, but after a few trips decided to upgrade to Chair Zero as I got annoyed with having to reset it every time I leant forward to tend the stove or grab something. Other more standard chairs weigh more than that. It's also reasonably-priced considering that it's a comfortable way to kick-back and relax that only weighs 2.5 oz (officially 2.65 oz (75 g)). I also would not be able to use my trekking poles to make a similar chair because I want to sit in my chair after my campsite is set up and my trekking pole is used to set up my tarp. The chair is reasonably-priced considering I would not be able to make one on my own. Having a comfortable way to sit makes it harder to pack up and leave camp, that's for sure. I was able to lean back in my chair while I enjoyed my coffee and listened to the sounds of nature. I did not have a fire to sit by so instead I positioned the chair just outside my tarp so I could put my legs in my sleeping bag to stay warm. I used the pad from my UD fastpack as a seat cushion. Once you get it right, it's easy to lean back and be comfortable. I found the chair to be not as fiddly and difficult to figure out as I feared. ![]() It's a very light and very minimalist chair. ![]() I went out for an overnighter to test my new Lightsmith chair. r/Hammocks, /r/HammockCamping, and /r/ULHammocking ![]() Trail Specific Subs /r/PacificCrestTrail /r/AppalachianTrail /r/CDT /r/JMT Related Subsįor buying, selling, and trading ultralight backpacking gear.
